This D&D charity trial takes place on Sunday 6th March in the Slade, Crooksling. It is the replacement event for the St. Stephen's Day event which we had to cancel due to the snow. So to make it a little different it will be a Pre-65 / Twinchock / Aircooled-mono trial with support grades of Grade C, D, Ja/Jb/Jc/Jd (on your modern bikes!).

There have been a couple of events north & south recently for the older bikes so hopefully anyone who has one will dust it off and get it out for a blast. If you are fortunate to have more than one why not lend to a friend!!

Proceeds for the event will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind. Approximately 85% of this charity's income comes through donations and fundraising by a network of almost 100 voluntary fundraising branches around the country.  It costs over 5.2 million to run the organisation per year & over 38,000 to breed, train and support a guide dog partnership. Not only do Guide Dogs for the Blind provide dogs for blind people, but recently they have been partnering fully trained dogs with autistic children.

Thanks to the generous support of competitors, families & friends we handed a cheque for 6400 over to the association in 2010 and they (& we) were hugely appreciative.

We have some sponsorship cards for people to try & raise a few euro (get your revenge on those work colleagues who nail you for GAA/soccer etc clubs), so if your interested in one email me at stuartmartin@ireland.com & I'll email it over to you.

Just a reminder that this trial is on at the weekend. Weather looks to be on our side for the first time in a while so it should be a good days craic & hopefully we can raise a few euro for the Irish Guide Dogs - all proceds from entries & donations will go directly to the charity.

The sections for the older bikes will be suitable for those who were at the recent trials school, so if you were wondering if it would suit you come on out and give it a go!!
